What I can’t ship

Ship2U complies with the rules and regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), New Zealand Customs, New Zealand Agriculture (MPI) and other government agencies.

Goods may be prohibited due to: 

  • New Zealand Customs or other New Zealand government agency regulations.
  • Export Regulations in the Departing Country (USA and KOREA)
  • MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) Biosecurity regulations

General restrictions

Ship2U use passenger airline to bring your items from Korea and USA. For the safety of the passengers, crew, and aircraft,the following items are either prohibited or restricted on all aircraft. Please ensure that you do not purchase items specified in this list 


For the safety of the aircraft, the items shown below are prohibited. The list of prohibited items are as follows:

  • Aerosols
  • Perfume, Nail Polish & Aftershave
  • Ink Cartridges
  • Bullion
  • Clinical and medical waste
  • Explosives, fireworks, munitions, flares, Christmas crackers, sparklers, party poppers and pyrotechnics
  • Security-type cases/boxes incorporatingrngoods such as lithium batteries or pyrotechnics
  • Compressed gases (flammable, non-flammable,rnor poisonous) such as butane, propane, aqualung cylinders, lighter fuels, orrnrefills
  • Lighters (butane, absorbed fuel, electric,rnbattery-powered, novelty)
  • Oxidising substances such as bleachingrnpowder and peroxides
  • Flammable liquids such as paints and run adhesives, glue
  • Flammable solids such as safety matches and run adhesives which are easily ignited
  • Disabling devices such as mace or pepper sprays, with irritant properties
  • Poisons such as arsenic, cyanides, orrninsecticides
  • Radioactive materials
  • Corrosive materials such as mercury (whichrnmay be contained in thermometers or blood pressure gauges,) acids, alkalis, andrnwet cell batteries
  • Meals-Ready-to-Eat (MREs)
  • Firearms / parts of firearm such asrnrevolvers, rifles, imitation firearms, pellet guns, ball-bearing guns, barrels,rntrigger assembly etc
  • Ammunition including blank, spent / emptyrncartridges
  • Toys guns/gun shaped items or look-alike
  • Any other substances which, during arnflight, present a danger not covered above, such as magnetised, offensive, orrnirritating materials

Lithium Batteries & Liquids

    * A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is a document that contains information on the potential hazards (health, fire, reactivity and 

        environmental) and how to work safely with the chemical product. 

        Please obtain the MSDS for each individual item from your seller.

Prohibited personal transportation devices

All small lithium battery-powered personal transportation devices (e.g. mini-Segway, hoverboard, solo wheel, air wheel, balance wheel, etc.) are prohibited. If these items are brought and sent to our overseas warehouse, they will be refused to send via air service. It will be the consignee’s responsibility to arrange for the item to be returned to the consignor. 

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device prohibited

In view of the ban of the Galaxy Note 7 device by the US Department of Transportation, Ship2U wishes to inform customers that the Galaxy Note 7 device is prohibited from shipping.
